Released on 27/05/2026 Voltic has been recognised in the 19th edition of the EmprendeXXI Awards, promoted by CaixaBank through DayOne and co-awarded by ENISA, after winning the national Retos del Mañana Award in Tourism and Mobility. This recognition comes just weeks after the company received the EmprendeXXI Baleares 2026 Award and strengthens Voltic’s trajectory as one of the most promising startups in hotel automation and operational efficiency. Voltic was awarded for developing a wireless system that allows hotels to control HVAC, energy use and room operations without renovation works, complex wiring or long deployment times. Its technology is designed to fit into operating hotels and help them save up to 30% in room energy consumption from a single platform. Voltic’s approach starts from a simple idea: automating a hotel should not feel like a construction project. It should be fast to install, easy to operate and genuinely useful for the people running the property every day. That is why the company builds plug-and-play systems that help teams act on HVAC, occupancy, open windows, incidents and consumption without disrupting hotel operations. The goal is not only to save energy. It is also to give teams more control, reduce response times and support better decisions with real operational data. “This award confirms that we are solving a very real and widespread problem in the sector,” says the Voltic team. “Many hotels want to modernise, but they run into solutions that are too difficult to deploy, too expensive to maintain or too invasive for a building that is already operating. We built Voltic precisely to remove that friction.” More than 1,000 companies entered this year’s edition of the EmprendeXXI Awards. The eight winning startups in the Retos del Mañana awards received a €15,000 cash prize, access to an international support programme in Berlin and entry into the AlumniXXI community. For Voltic, this recognition comes at a particularly important moment for the hotel sector, which needs to reduce energy use, digitise operations and respond to new regulatory requirements without making day-to-day operations even more complex.
